How does EASi deliver its software?
The product is web-based and available 24 by 7 from any Internet connection. Major software updates are made multiple times a year and are included in your annual subscription fee. We simply upload new releases via the Internet so there is no impact on your corporate IT staff. Each software release is sent with release notes that outline product enhancements and changes. We also invite you to attend the release webinar to learn about the new features and functionality, or watch the recorded version anytime that fits your schedule.
How do you handle data conversion from an existing solution
to EASi?
To simplify conversion, we lead you through a proven implementation methodology. We use data templates to format information to meet our system requirements. We also have a desktop importer tool that lets you manage the data uploading process according to your timeline with immediate feedback on the status of your files.
Data conversion can be done in one of two ways: We have resources available to guide you through the process if you wish to convert the data in-house or we can do the data conversion and reconciliation for you- it's up to you.
How do you handle uploads from HRIS and payroll systems?
EASi was designed to easily import and export information between our system and the leading HRIS and payroll systems. We offer an off-the-shelf Payroll and HR Interface that works with virtually any Payroll or HRIS system.
Can you track mobility of participants?
Absolutely. Our mobility tracking capability is robust and comprehensive. We track more than 20 items including things like residence address, work location, department, section, branch and employment status to properly account for any change of status or move.
Is EASi affiliated with any brokers?
Our business model is predicated on broker neutrality to enable our clients to choose to work with any broker they prefer. We do work with several broker partners and have multiple ways that you can connect to the broker of your choice including file exchange and EASi Broker Direct.
How does EASi handle stock splits?
EASi date stamps all information and preserves pre-split data. You can run reports using any "as of" date you prefer to accurately reflect pre-split and post- split status.
Can EASi enable forward expense projections?
Since EASi software is date driven, it is possible to enter a future date and run projections based on existing award details. EASi ECHO makes it a snap to to load in future awards and asses the forward p&l mpact.
What kind of participant portal do you offer?
Our participant portal provides significant support to stock plan administrators by handling employee inquiry, exercise, execution, and settlement recording with your broker of choice. Plan participants are able to view grant packages and accept grants, model exercise scenarios and exercise their shares with company-designated brokers. The system provides electronic transfer agent notification and calculates taxable gain and related tax items in real time. Access to the employee website is included when we implement our the EASi platform for public companies.
Do you support Employee Stock Purchase Plans?
Yes, EASi makes is possible to log in via the Internet, enroll employees, change contribution amounts, and change contribution enrollment status. The ESPP product calculates purchases and allocations. ESPP participants can also review past purchases and check their plan balance.
Do you handle the accounting for ESPP?
Yes, EASi calculates expense, forfeitures and modifications and revalues ESPP grants whenever any modifications are made.
How much flexibility do I have in running reports?
EASi lets you set the report parameters and provides extensive filtering options so you can pull the reporting data you need for any date range. We also have a report builder that lets you customize reports. Reports can be run on demand, batched or be pre-scheduled to support a faster monthly and quarterly close processes.
How long does it typically take to run reports?
It's faster than anything you're used to because EASi's standard reports were built for rapid processing. The time it takes to run a report varies based on the level of detail and volume of data. Feedback from our customers tells us they're delighted by our report processing speed.
How much flexibility do I have in configuring the EASi system?
EASi strives to provide as much flexibility as is practical for all aspects of our system including processing parameters and reporting. Grant provisions such as exercise treatment upon termination can be pre-set at the plan level with overrides for individual grants which provides maximum flexibility while preserving automated processing. There are multiple fair market value settings for grant date and taxable event date. When it comes to reports, EASi provides extensive filtering options so you can pull the data you need. EASi lets you reflect your organizational structure including subsidiaries, legal entities, departments, locations, and other cost centers in the database for segmented reporting.
What level of support do you provide to global companies?
EASi was designed with global clients in mind. We support European date formatting, base currencies and track 22 mobility characteristics. Expat status can be indicated and date stamped and EASi provides extensive support for equity recharge as well as the calculation of multi-jurisdictional employee tax.
How do you control access to your software?
EASi was designed to be a collaborative software tool that enables all the players involved in equity compensations to access shared data in real time, while maintaining segregation of duties. We establish controlled access that is role based so stock plan administrators, finance professionals, brokers, auditors, transfer agents and employees can all use the same system.
